Final Release Note
[Leave this section blank when creating an issue. When closing an issue, the final release note text will go here; or the reason why the issue is closed or why a release note is not needed. The advantage of putting the final release note on top is so that when somone reads the release notes for a YottaDB release, and clicks on the release note for a particular item, s/he can read the final release note without having to scroll down through the history of that issue.]
Description
[Describe the issue. If an enhancement, describe the enhancement, and why you want it, for example, by providing use cases, If it is a misfeature or a bug, describe the undesirable behavior and how you want it to behave differently.]
Draft Release Note
[It helps developers if you can provide a draft release note for the fix or enhancement in your own words. Use the following structure:
- In the present tense, describe what the software does (i.e., with the enhancement or fix).
- Describe what the software did previously. For some issues, this may not be relevant - e.g., for a brand new feature, it is just noise to say "Previously this feature didn't exist". If so omit this.
- Note possible workarounds, if any with the prior bug, or for a new feature how one could accomplish the same goal previously. Omit this if there was no workaround or alternative.]
