# 2019/02/25 - PsychOS 3.3.6 - Polkit errors and Blender OpenGL issue work-around #
###################################################################################
I'm having 'polkit'-related errors on one of my computer and I think a 'dist-upgrade'
caused it.
'Blender' will not run on one of my computers because for some reason it doesn't
think it can handle OpenGL 2.1, which it can so, I can get it working with:
LIBGL_ALWAYS_SOFTWARE=1 blender
I need to learn more about how IceWM's menu item placement works.
Download copied links to an opened folder Thunar custom action:
wget -c "$(xsel --clipboard --output)"

# 2019/03/04 - PsychOS 3.3.7 - StreamPi GUI and xfce4-mpd #
###########################################################
Since the last build, I've added and removed some things and worked on StreamPi-GUI.
I changed some of the launchers in Panel 2 to include a search Wikipedia based on
highlighted text using 'xsel' and 'wp2t.' I also added an eject CD/DVD button.
I tried adding an 'xfce4-mpd' plugin for Palen 2 to have play/pause/forward/back
buttons for audio players, but ended-up removing it due to confusion. You can easily
do the same thing by right-clicking the notification area icon for most players.
Found-out that VLC has an ncurses front-end (nvlc) and added it to CLIMax script.
Added "Print" (lp %f) to Thunar custom actions, but needs testing.

# 2019/03/07 - PsychOS 3.3.7 - StreamPi GUI and BristolCLI #
############################################################
Been working on StreamPi GUI some more.
Need a CLI for Bristol synths that I'm going to call "BristolCLI."

# 2019/03/08 - PsychOS 3.3.7 - Solved ncurses looking like ASCII nightmare #
############################################################################
I finally solved my ncurses looking like ASCII issue. Run
'sudo dpkg-reconfigure console-setup' and use "UTF-8" for the font. I think it's a
7-bit versus 8-bit issue when it comes to 'libncursesw5.'

# 2019/03/10 - PsychOS 3.3.8 - StreamPi GUI and XFCE panels #
#############################################################
Added/removed some minor packages and removed the CLI version of StreamPi for now
until I can finish StreamPi GUI, which seems as though a GAMBAS executable will be
a third of the size.
I also changed the XFCE panels to have six of them. One of them is the main panel(1)
that's always visible and the rest are hidden. Panel 2 contains the date/time,
weather, mail notifier, and power info (AC/battery). Panel 3 is for playing music with
DeaDBeeF and itmes below the controls are for launching other audio/video related
things. Panel 4 is located near the bottom left and only contains a workspace
switcher. Panel 5 is at the bottom right but is vertical and only contains Action
Buttons for screen locking and so forth. Panel 6 is at the bottom left, close to the
Whisker Menu icon and is meant for quick convenient things that has no business
being on the main panel(1).
However, placing these panels, even though most are hidden, causes new windows of
programs and file managers to open 2/3 -> top right. I need to at least see if it's
possible to open Thunar at the middle of the screen.
I wonderif it's possible to use 'tmux' for 'bristol' to temporarily open another panel
just long enough to run 'aconnect' and then close.
I may also add my "Math Station" 'tmux' thing I did for a Spooky Math Halloween video
tutorial.
I removed my Action Buttons panel because it kept getting in the way when scrolling.

# 2019/03/11 - PsychOS 3.3.8 - CLIMax, PsychOS 2.6.1 live, and power manager #
##############################################################################
Worked some more on CLIMax
Running PsychOS 2.6.1 live
* Dasher - Enter text without a keyboard
* Sonic Visualiser - A program for viewing and analyzing contents of audio files
* Wave Surfer - A program for viewing and analyzing contents of audio files
* Avogadro
Updated 'xfce4-power-manager' to get an icon in the Notification Area and therefore
can remove Battery Monitor plugin, which surprisingly takes up more resources than I
would have thought.
Installed 'screenkey' to show keyboard keys used if making a tutorial.

# 2019/03/12 - PsychOS 3.3.8 - Upgrading xfce4-power-manager issues #
#####################################################################
After upgrading only 'xfce4-power-manager' to try to get an icon back into the
Notification Area, suspend on lid close stopped working.
A work-around for now:
"/etc/acpi/events/lid":
event = button/lid
event = /etc/acpi/actions/lid_suspend.sh %e
"/etc/acpi/actions/lid_suspend.sh"
#!/bin/bash
if [ "$3" = "close" ]; then
/usr/sbin/pm-suspend
fi
Make sure to 'chmod +x' them both. However, I still haven't figured-out a way to get
the screen to lock before suspending.

# 2019/03/17 - PsychOS 3.3.8 - StreamPi and FFMPEG #
####################################################
Just to update, I've been working on StreamPi. I've got quite a bit of it done.
It seems as though FFMPEG will convert FLI files but not to them. I also need to add
GIF87 convert option to "~/.bashrc" and to QuickEdit as well as BMP 1, 2, and 3.
It also wouldn't hurt to run 'ffmpeg -formats' to get a demuxing/muxing list for
adding extensions to QuickEdit and the formats supported list for the Release notes.
DE and E go on the normal FFMPEGLIST
D goes on the other list

# 2019/03/18 - PsychOS 3.3.8 - FFMPEG/FFPLAY -vf stereo3d #
###########################################################
I've been looking into 'ffmpeg/ffplay' and 'mpv' video filters and discovered a
stereo3d filter for stereoscopic glasses. I might add a Play DVD as Stereoscopic
option to the menu as well as an alias for playing files or maybe even add it as an
option for QuickEdit.
ffmpeg -i foo -vf stereo3d bar
ffplay -i bar -vf stereo3d
mpv -vf stereo3d dvd://
