Use GDScript instead of Python for tool scripts
Currently, we use some Python to help to deal with license files, but what if instead we still make use of Godot by having those scripts be written in GDScript? GDScript can be executed via a CLI ($ godot -s script_file.gd
) and the API is very robust for dealing with the file system and RegEx.
And yes, I know, every GNU/Linux distro under the Sun has Python available and this is hardly a problem. But it's still a extra dependency and language to deal with, and as a Godot project, why not use it to its full extend whenever possible?
