Remapping some key to Return by xmodmap does not work
Hey, I am using Remmina 1.4.10 (git 717708b1)
(installed by snap
) on Ubuntu 18.04 LTS, but have a problem with xmodmap
.
For a minimal example, consider the following xmodmap
file,
keycode 38 = Return A a A
which simply remaps the "A" key (of the usual US keyboard) to the "Return" key. (Of course with "Use client keyboard mapping" in Remmina's preferences checked.)
I connected to Windows 10 server via RDP using Remmina, launched Command Prompt there, and typed the "A" key (which should be remapped to "Return"). Although I expected that "Return" be sent, it was "a" that was printed on the Command Prompt screen.
In my case, I have more complicated remappings by xmodmap
, and almost all remappings seem to work well. Only those which remaps some key to "Return" do not work; that is, the original key (not "Return") will be printed.
