Get More Familiar With 'Black★Rock Shooter'
(Extracted from #60 (closed).)
There're some aspects of Black★Rock Shooter that I'd need to become more familiar with for this project if I were to use it as a crossover source material origin here. Here's what I'm fully familiar with so far:
See issue #49.
Not counting the original music video and illustrations that were the mini-franchise's inspiration:
(These are all apparently independent alternate continuities.)
- Its multiple expanded anime iterations:
-
The Black★Rock Shooter OVA: I've watched it.
-
The first Black★Rock Shooter TV series:
This borrows some elements from the OVA but is still obviously its own continuity.
I've watched up through episode 4.
-
Black★★Rock Shooter: Dawn Fall: I haven't watched it.
-
- Its multiple video game iterations:
- Black★Rock Shooter: The Game: I've neither played it nor watched any footage of people doing so.
- Petite★Rock Shooter, a web minigame: I' haven't've neither played it nor watched any footage of people doing so.
- Black★Rock Shooter Arcana, a discontinued Japan-only social game for feature phones: I' haven't've neither played it nor watched any footage of people doing so.
- Black★Rock Shooter Fragment, an upcoming mobile game: As it isn't out yet, I've neither played it nor watched any footage of people doing so.
- Its multiple manga iterations:
- Black★Rock Shooter: The Game, an at-least-slightly-expanded adaptation of the video game of the same name: I haven't read it.
- Black★Rock Shooter ~Innocent Soul~: I haven't read it.
- Black★Rock-chan, a chibi spin-off — maybe of the ~Innocent Soul~ continuity? It isn't clear — affectionate parody manga: I haven't read it.
