Is it possible to adjust the steps per degree independently for az and el?

I am working with some custom rotator hardware and have successfully interfaced the satnogs arduino controller and am able to control my dish via the gpredict software. My issue is that my azimuth and elevation ratio does not match as the elevation is using a lead screw while azimuth is belt driven. I have looked around the code and don't readily see where it would be possible to set the steps per for each axis, but only see the ratio setting. Would you kindly direct me to the area where I can adjust the steps per for each if possible, or give me an idea of how to go about that.
