Socket Enhancement System and originsRO Wiki
Hello originsRO GMs, I am a (casual) player and I had a in-game issue today, related to the socket enhancement system. In fact, I read carfully about the Socket Enhancement system on OriginsRO wiki and RateMyServer's guide about the topic, as well as iRO wiki and a forum. Absolutely none mentionned that a refined item would go back to +0 if it succeeded. In fact, I just refined a Ninja Suit to +7, then I paid 400k zeny to have 20% chance of adding a slot in it, and succeeded (1,92% success rate) ! But then I noticed that it went back to +0 Ninja Suit , so basically, I paid and gambled (succesfully for the first time in my life) but because things were done in the wrong order, it all went to waste. Althought the order of doing things doesn't change nor the cost (zeny, mats) nor the chances (1,92% in the end), especially since Ninja Suit cannot be bought at any NPC... I understand how it happenned and why but please understand that I did my lot of research and reading, it's the first time I do it too, and it was** mentionned nowhere** that it would result in such a disappointment. Isn't there anything you can do to help, please ?Please understand my distress.
Steps to Reproduce
- Be new to the game mechanics.
- Read the entire oRO wiki and more reliable sources.
- Pay. Succeed (1,92%). Get tremendously and unfairly disappointed.
As a result, althought both the zeny cost and the risks taken for making it slotted then refining it to +7 or refining it to +7 first then slotting it, are exactly the same. Because I wasn't aware of the one right order for doing it since I am new to Socket Enhancement and it wasn't mentionned on the Wiki, I got robbed all my luck (roughly 1 out of 50 probability). Isn't there any fair way where I can get this +7 Ninja Suit that I paid the fair price to have (all the zeny, mats and luck required are the same in either way since you cannot buy Ninja Suit anyways)...
Please, could add this very important mention on oRO Wiki, so that no unexperienced player like I was, suffer the same misfortune in his bravest attempt to get a good item at great cost. And fianlly, recognizing that I paid all the prices (including luck in gambling) for an item that cannot be cost-exploited (since it cannot be bought at any npc), could you please fix my misfortune, and let me have this +7 Ninja Suit that I undertook 1,92% chance to have. Please. Thank you very much for your understanding.
I am not a native english speaker, hopefully my demand was eloquent enough to point out its fairness and relevance to your eyes. My account name is Battlers, the mentionned item is still in my storage.
