Misc visual bugs
Here are some random visual bugs I have noticed in the game lately.
- Assassin's dual dagger attack animation appears as a single dagger animation on other players' screens (female).
- Magic Rod has no visual animation at all, both upon cast and on absorption.
- Bards and dancers' dancing animation sometimes speeds up when using songs.
Pretty straight forward. Assassin's dual dagger damage is not being displayed correctly on other players' screens. Other players do not see the offhand dagger damage properly, as it is missing the dual attack animation. This can be confusing to others but is not game breaking.
This bug has a slightly more serious impact on game balance. When functioning correctly, sages are supposed to visually enter a stance on Magic Rod use that alerts other players that they will absorb the next incoming spells (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fjkIuCAN0CU similar to monk's root and knight's counter for melee attacks). Upon successful absorption, the sage should go through another animation indicating that the spell has been absorbed. Currently, there is no Magic Rod animation at all, allowing sages to negate spells, gain SP, and SP burn other players with impunity. This bug needlessly gives too much power in the form of hidden information to an already high powered pvp class.
At some point after a recent update, bards and dancers appear to have sped up dancing animations when using songs (their dance animations are supposed to have a rhythmic hip shake, but this bug makes them bounce up and down like they are having a seizure). It does not always happen right away. They will randomly start dancing really quickly mid song. Again, not a game breaking bug but an ugly looking bug.
