Data loss from Matrix questions, for Sara

Goal

  1. Test to see if you can replicate the data loss.
    • ESMC 2022 TESTING survey - https://app.surveystack.io/surveys/64775e13e852b00001a465cf
      • Export data as you go, make sure there's no loss
    • Things to test
    • Pick 4 items to copy over, make sure some of them were ones that had data loss (Jeff Brawner for example).
    • resubmit a survey which was submit as proxy
      • submitted Stacey Krehbiel data from original survey. All data was in csv download and still in survey when trying to resbumit. Was able to change a field and planting and data was maintained. Same thing with Jeff Brawner. Data was still there the next day and was able to change planting names in npk section and changes were visible in csv.
    • lose internet while open, stop and continue
    • click through when farmOS is loading
      • the only place where farmOS has to load is when you select participating fields. From what I could see Sara didn't always fill this out so I tested skipping over this question quickly while farmOS is loading and had no data loss issues.
    • have big matrices
    • close your laptop, open it again
      • tested this with Marvin Miller for just a few minutes and overnight and didn't have any issues. I also tried with Damon Stauffer closing out of a tab with an open survey and then reopening that tab (ctrl+shift+t) after restarting the computer and the data wasn't lost. Did this again with Jeff Brawner since we know his data is an issue in the other survey and the data still stayed even after closing and reopening the tab.
    • different browsers (hers is chrome)
  2. Bring over data into a new ESMC 2022 survey that Sara can update and export for Octavio.
  3. Mark the entries which are missing data so Sara can follow up with producers to get it again.
    • Make a spreadsheet w/ Farmer name, old UUID, new UUID, Survey Section (10.1.2).
    • Data is probably lost if...
    • All
      • dates are missing
    • NPK
      • NPK says 'custom' and has no n, p, k values
      • If it's submitted by Sara, there are no notes, it's missing data. Not everyone used the product name dropdown
    • cover crop
      • seeding rate. Often has notes
    • Grazing
      • should have number of animals and a weight
