Widgets cannot be moved to a new thread

After completing a build and getting a .so, I launch openRGB as root, go to the Settings tab, click Install Plugin, navigate to my .so and select it. openRGB creates a new tab for Hardware Fan Sync but the tab is empty, and I see there is an error message in the terminal: "QObject::moveToThread: Widgets cannot be moved to a new thread".

Running Nixos 24.11 with KDE Plasma 6.
