Bad or missing RTT shadows
Certain RTT views have bad or missing shadows. Known examples include:
- Savegame screenshots. These should be fine reusing the existing shadow maps as they're literally the exact same viewpoint as the current frame of gameplay.
- 360° screenshots. As these are made from a cubemap, they cover areas that aren't visible in the equivalent game frame. That means either each cubemap face will need considering separately, or something clever with positioning shadow map cascades specifically for 360° screenshots will need to happen.
- Water refraction and reflection views. These are very visible in-game and are going to have a separate issue as they're more important.
It's not impossible that all in-game screenshots are missing shadows, but I'm pretty sure I'd have head about it if they were.
I've given this both the bug and feature labels as broken shadows are a bug but missing shadows means the mechanism to make them work just hasn't been implemented yet.
