Unlike vanilla, OpenMW don't allow statics and activators cast effects on the player.
Experienced the bug while playing Telos Rin Graveyard (http://mw.modhistory.com/download-31-7758). When the player stands up over an area, an script make a fireball fly through the corridor.
In vanilla you can test just selecting anything in console and typing the command "Cast Fireball_large Player". Works with creatures, statics and activators. OpenMW only works for creatures.
Attached 2 saves in the same area. One vanilla, other OpenMW. Go ahead and you will see the fireball coming.
