Gamepad movement controls are not analogue
Decided to test OpenMW with gamepad a bit, here's the issue: Shifting analogue stick will move your character in 4 discreet directions (much like pressing WASD) at a. Constant [maximum] speed Note: in other Gamebryo / Creation Engine games it's possible to move slowly as if pressing 'Shift', but it's not locked into two walk/run states like 0/1, instead the speed changes based on stick's delta from [around] center (since there's always a deadzone present) b. Only one of the directions at a time Note: that means PC is also unable to move in two directions at once, like pressing W and D for example. Of course, the proper support would mean a granular control of character's direction.
So in short the current implementation emulates 4-position D-pad, while it should behave more like a donut.
