OpenMW-CS: overview of records of a mod
It would be nice to have an "overview" that shows which kind of data a mod contains.
It happens often that I want to find out what a mod does and how that's done. To do so I need to look at new/modified data but there is no hint where. So I open every single table-view and click on the "modified" column to see if there is something the mod does. Yes, the objects and instances view might be a good point to start but that's not sufficient. The filters "project::added" and "project::modified" do not help much since they can only be applied to single views, not to all. Even if that was possible, it doesn't help to know where to look. When I use MW-Edit I can move through a list of table views that shows only mod data by using the cursor keys. But I have to start a virtual machine for that...
I'd be happy with a "statistics table", something like
record type --- new --- modified objects 8 1 scripts 3 - sounds - - [...]
Anyhow, really comfortable would be something like the following. On selecting a menu item "open modified data view" a new view is opened that contains all table-views that contain mod data but only those. So in the upper example an object table view containing 9 rows (plus header), below that a scripts table view containing three rows (plus header) ... would be shown. This would make editing a mod or fixing some minor bugs ... very easy - editing values in the table view as well as calling other view types by ctrl-double-click would be possible by this. I hope that it's not too hard to group (rows from) table views (that have the modified/added status) in another view.
