Having a sunrays shader in post-processing chain disables default sun glare even if post processing is off
On 0.49 and later, having a sunrays shader like the one from Rafael's shaderpack in the post processing chain disables the default sun glare even if post processing was off the whole time, and the only way to fix that is by toggling post processing on and off (doesn't matter if in main menu or in the game world):
