Shader lighting mode lighting is significantly darker than FFP-compatible lighting

On 0.49, lighting is significantly darker than 0.48 (which it was already way darker than vanilla engine lighting). This is particularly noticeable in certain interiors, but all game looks darker in general. Some screenshots for comparison (open both images for better and more visually detailed comparison).
