Difference in interior lighting between OpenMW with legacy lighting method enabled and vanilla Morrowind

There is a difference in interior lighting between OpenMW 0.48 release with legacy lighting method enabled and vanilla Morrowind. The floor appears to be brighter and the walls are darker, which make it look unnatural. Vanilla resources of English GOG version (with Tribunal and Bloodmoon enabled) are used for both engines.

Here are the screenshots:

  • OpenMW: legacy
  • Morrowind: morrowind

And the betacomment of the floor mesh:

And some additional info from the questionnaire:

  • Operating system: Windows 10 Home 22H2.
  • Steps to reproduce: go to the location specified fresh out of the boat for clean installs of OpenMW and Morrowind.
  • My expectations: looks closer to Morrowind, namely less difference between the floor and walls brightness.
  • Logs: openmw.log
  • Full settings: settings.cfg
