Beast to Non-beast transformation mod is not working on OpenMW

Mods that are transforming beast races (Argonians and Khajiit) into non-beast versions (like Bretons, Nords, Orcs etc.) doesn't work for NPC's, they are still beast-like. Those mods works only for playerscreenshot004.

Examples of such mods: https://www.nexusmods.com/morrowind/mods/43306 https://www.nexusmods.com/morrowind/mods/46160

Quote from Capo (discrod): "I know why this happens (it's a side effect of a more vanilla-accurate behavior I've implemented) and it's somewhat deliberate, but I don't know if Morrowind has it the same way. Long story short all NPCs have their skeleton files predefined and this overrides the animations set by their race. All beast race NPCs use beast race skeletons so they use beast race animations automatically. This should certainly still be valid in cases where the skeleton is custom, so I think there's nothing exclusive to beast races."

  1. Is the problem OpenMW specific or does it also happen in vanilla Morrowind?
  • It's for OpenMW specificaly,
  1. What is your operating system?
  • Windows 10 Professional
  1. What version of OpenMW are you using? If you used a bleeding edge build, state the exact revision used.
  • OpenMW 0.47
  1. What version of Morrowind are you using (i.e. retail CD or Steam)? What addons (Tribunal, Bloodmoon) do you have installed? What language is your Morrowind install?
  • English version, ‎Version 1.6.1820, both DLC, don't really remember from where, but not from steam.
  1. Do you use any mods? If so, does the problem also occur in a clean vanilla install without any mods?
  • I tried it on OpenMW without any other mods, still doesn't work.
  1. What are the exact steps to reproduce the problem?
  • Playing.
  1. What did you expect to happen? What happened instead?
  • Every Argonian and Khajiit should have non-beast race animation and model.
  1. Are there any error messages in your openmw.log file? = There is one warning that repeats itself constantly: "[07:37:58.980 W] Warning: addAnimSource: can't find bone 'bip01 tail3' in meshes/xbase_anim.nif (referenced by meshes\xargonian_swimkna.kf)" it's more like fault of mod itself rather than OpenMW, but maybe I'm wrong?

  2. Where is the in-game location this problem can be observed?

  • Everywhere.
