Black race faces upon character creation

I'm using 0.47.0 installed with brew on my macbook pro M1 (macOS 12.3).

I installed Morrowind from the GOG version (with Tribunal and Bloodmoon) uncompressed with innoextract -g setup_tes_morrowind_goty_2.0.0.7.exe.

Everything else is rendering correctly until now.

I used the settings described there except for enable indoor shadows = false (else I have yellow artefacts in the boat)

I don't see anything special in openmw.log

My character also appears totally black in the menu.
