Damage Spells in effect before god mode is enabled continue to hurt the player character and can kill them

Unlike vanilla (once god mode is enabled, damage spells stop hurting the PC). Fixing this would be helpful in the case a content developer or a tester forgot about enabling god mode before starting combat and took a lethal hit from a spell, for example.
