Object shadows cause massive FPS drop during twilight
During sunrise (5:45-6:15) and sundusk (19:45-20:15) GPU bar becomes about 1.5-2x larger than in other daytimes. On GPU-limited system it means 1.5-2x less FPS.
I believe it is because sun is under extreme angles during these hours and shadows cover literally everything.
I wonder if we can do anything to reduce such performance drop.
For example, in case if we do not want to show shadows at night, we can also do not show shadows from 20:15 till 6:15 (with fading in/out). It should eliminate most of performance drop.
