Suggestions for Next Versions
v1.4.1
-
Set minimum window width, or introduce horizontal scroll bar -
Standardize buttons in modals. Currently you use "Done" or "Ok" – I recommend you use "Done" only -
Check for update button on About screen -

Ability to run in Debug mode #833 (closed) -
Custom config file for user specified settings for siad/siac/ui #832 (closed) -
Add loading indicators for the data cards -
Fix wallet table performance issues #838 (closed) -

Files Tab Suggestions
-
Upload progress bar should also show a percentage -
Change “root” to something more friendly, like “home” -
Height of file manager window should increase as window height increases (to fill vertical space) -
Different screen should appear when forming contracts for the first time – should not even see file manager until sufficient contracts are formed -
Ability to multi-select files when uploading (can only select one at a time currently) -
Folder icon looks extremely strange – it should be a folder
Future Versions
-
Better wallet transaction pagination -
Dark mode!! -
For new users who have not yet set up a wallet, show the blockchain sync screen with status bar, and do not let them set up a wallet or restore from seed until the blockchain is fully synced. This should improve user experience and user expectations. -
Display upload, download, repair, and other notable statuses in the sidebar. This way, users can tab throughout the application but can still see relevant info. I can be in the wallet tab, for example, but see that my UI is repairing files, or that my upload is complete. -
Ability to minimize to menu bar (Mac) or system tray (Windows) upon closing UI. This was a feature in old UI, and was quite useful because users did not need to keep their Sia-UI window open. -
Better restore from seed process, where users enter seed words individually.
