Trade Cities
Star Legacy Trade System
Planetary Cities
At the core of the system are Planetary Cities. The cities are made and submitted by players.
Cities need to have good, visually impressive background scenery. This can’t be planetary terrain – it must be, for example, buildings in an urban city. Additionally, each city must have landing pads, docking areas, and a trade center.
Landing pads must have ample space for smaller ships to land. Docking areas must have well-spaced tubes for larger ships to dock. The trade center needs space for export manager NPCs to offer shipping missions to players. Players need to be able to easily access their ships.
Each city has defined categories of resources that are abundant there. This is so that one can’t ship between just two cities repeatedly, as it is unlikely that both cities require the same resource.
City Benefits/Drawbacks & Functionality
Planetary cities will give some cut to the city owners for shipping missions. This way there is a profit to cities.
Planetary cities will cost C3,000 a day. In return for this, they will give full protection from explosions and PVP.
Reasoning: For an extensive debate, please read the comments below. Essentially, it is to give players the choice of fighting or not fighting. It encourages more circulation of money. It encourages competition in cities. Combined with settlement regions it solves many of the server's current issues.
