Long site name halts execution

Given that my sitenames follow the structure [user]@[domain] (with user often being an email address), my sitenames are typically longer than 20 characters.

Around the 24th character, each extra key press suddenly starts halting the app for longer and longer periods of time; taking 10+ minutes around the 30th character. This only happens on my iOS phone.
