LockLauncher

Project information

A lightweight Python/Tkinter utility to password-protect standalone Windows .exe files. It wraps your target executable in a small “launcher” that:

Encrypts the original .exe to .exe.enc (AES-256-CBC + PBKDF2).

Backs up the original to .exe.bak.

Drops a password-protected wrapper in place of the original. On launch, prompts for the password, decrypts to a temporary file (*_real.exe), runs it in place (so all DLLs and resources are correctly found), and cleans up after exit.
