Android Auto does not launch in car head unit
<! -- INSTRUCTIONS Install Android Auto on the device, make sure it is setup and ready for connecting to CAR. Attempt to use in a car and it wont work.
I have attached a logcat of the errors that were produced when attempting to use Android Auto alogcat.txt
after it is all setup, Android Auto should auto launch in the car's head unit to pair to the unit once you connect via USB. at this point, it would normally go through a wizard to complete setup.
no wizard appears, and on 1 of the units, an error occurs and says the device is not compatible. this has been tried on multiple cars with different head units. LOS15 and 16 both have this problem. stock build does not have this problem.
i have a feeling there is a problem with device mapping on the USB port.
Steps to Reproduce
- Install LOS16 on a moto x4 (project fi variant)
- Install Android Auto
- Open Android Auto on phone to complete its initial setup
- Plug phone into USB port of a car with Android Auto capabilities
- Wizard SHOULD appear to allow usage on vehicle, but it is not.
