Preferred network type bug in Redmi Note 5A prime
Expected Behavior
When I change the preferred network type in the phone settings, the phone should change to the network type I set and it should show the network type in the phone information menu which can be accessed using the short code *# *#4636 (closed)# *# *
Current Behavior
When I change the preferred network type in the phone settings, the phone doesn't change to the network type I set and I can confirm that the network type didn't change using the short code *# *#4636 (closed)# *#__*
Here is a screen recording when I changed the Preferred network type from GSM/WCDMA/LTE to GSM only and what happened when I checked whether the network type changed to the new one using the short code. https://imgur.com/ljXvinT
Steps to Reproduce
First of all, set the drop-down list of the preferred network list to LTE, 3G and 2G (bind LTE, 3G and 2G bands to LTE option, bind 3G and 2G bands to 3G option and bind GSM/EDGE bands to 2G option) same as the original MIUI stock ROM for Mi8937 devices which makes it simple and user-friendly. I can see even 5G network types in the preferred network types and Mi8937 devices are 4G devices.
Furthermore, rectify this bug which is currently not properly setting the preferred network type to the user-defined one and logcat is attached here.
