OS is not compatible with Galaxy Wear App

Downloaded the Galaxy Wear App from the play store. On opening, the app tells me:

"The operating system on your phone has been modified in an authorised way, and is not compatible with the Samsung Gear App. Check your operating system and try again."

The app should theoretically be compatible as the app has already been updated to support Android Pie.

Despite the app not working, my phone still cannot find the Gear watch on bluetooth, making it almost redundant.

Hopefully, you can look into this and possibly fix this issue.
