Adaptive brightness not functioning as expected and is often far too bright (OnePlus 8T/kebab- LOS20)
Expected Behavior
Expected behavior would be a smooth, stock-like curve or screen luminance mapping vs. the light sensor's reading so that adaptive brightness is appropriate for most lighting conditions.
Current Behavior
On LOS 20, adaptive brightness's default behavior is typically FAR brighter than you'd ever really want it to be in most circumstances, much beyond the stock software configuration. Most of the time the level jumps up to ~80% if there's any notable light detected by the sensor, and compared with the stock software and other devices it is far too bright. Toggling "extra dim" in accessibility features helps lower the ceiling, so to speak, but the unpredictable behavior of the brightness at a certain light sensor readings remains. logcat.txt
Possible Solution
Match the stock behavior in OOS 12/13 vs. whatever it is doing now.
Steps to Reproduce
Install OS, observe light sensor behavior in various lightning conditions
