Android Auto via USB not recognized on car head unit

Expected Behavior

1. Connect device to car head unit via USB
2. Phone registers USB connection
3. Android Auto notification on phone appears
4. Car Head Unit starts wizard to setup Android Audo

Current Behavior

1. Connect device to car head unit via USB
2. Phone registers USB connection with "USB controlled by This Device" and "Use USB for File Transfer"
3. Android Auto notification on phone apperas
4. Car Head Unit doesn't start wizard.
5. Manually selecting on Car Head Unit to start projection states no compatible devices attached.

Extra Info

Phone when running OEM ROM (Android 11) run Android Auto with same Car Head Unit just fine. Have following LineageOS official flashing guides and builds and tried downgrading to LOS 18. Using MindTheGapps-12.1.0-arm64-20220605_112439. Have also tried other GApps with varying sizes with same results above, including older MindTheGapps-12.1.0-arm64-20220416_174313.

Have older phone (nash, Moto Z2 Force) w/bloated battery that runs LOS19 w/MindTheGapps just fine with this Car Head Unit and USB cable and it uses MindTheGapps-12.1.0-arm64-20220416_174313.
