Android devices lose access to Intune-managed resources after upgrading to Android 12
Expected Behavior
Microsoft Intune should create professional profile and connect to company intune server to be able to download specific software in protected environment.
Current Behavior
After professional profile creation, there is a connection issue with message "Entreprise portal app cannot connect to microsoft intune."
Possible Solution
This seems to be resolved by google with OEMs as given in the following ticket. https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/intune-customer-success/resolved-android-devices-lose-access-to-intune-managed-resources/ba-p/3249657
Working with Google and Device OEMs - OPPO/OnePlus/Realme engineering has found an issue in the PackageManagerService#getInstalledPackages Android API. When the APK calls this function in a non-primary user, it will fail. Device OEMs have identified a fix and are currently working with Google TAM services to validate that the fix is implemented for each of the affected brands (OPPO, OnePlus, and Realme).
Steps to Reproduce
- Install microsoft intune on your Android device with Lineage 19.1
- Run it and follow connection instructions (You need a microsoft account with intune services)
- Validate professional profile instructions
- Microsoft intune should stop connecting with given error message.
