Quick settings button long press crashes UI
Expected Behavior
A long press on one of the quick settings buttons pulled down from the status bar should perform the appropriate function.
Current Behavior
The UI crashes and restarts when a long press is made on any Quick settings button, including a short press on the settings button on the quick buttons pane. A UI settings widget on the home page works fine. It appears the system gets into this state after a period of use. When first installed it works fine, but then after a time (weeks ?) this bug occurs and is then solid. When it happened before a LineageOS update did not clear the problem, clearing the Android caches did not clear it only a full re-install (wipe system/data/caches and reinstall Lineageos/GoogleApps etc.) worked.
This has happened on two Samsung S5 klte phones both with Lineageos 18.1. I only started noticing it after a Lineageos update about 4 weeks ago and after installing the fitbit app where I was/am having Bluetooth sync issues and so was using Bluetooth long press a lot. I have installed 2 lineageos updates to new releases since the issue first occurred so the bug has been present for a few releases now.
Possible Solution
Re-install is the only way I know of clearing it. At least settings can be accessed from home page settings widget if you have one.
Steps to Reproduce
- Use the phone.
- Maybe use the quick settings Bluetooth button with long presses ?
