River, T-Mobile US: No VoWiFi after upgrading to LOS 18.1
WiFi calling (VoWiFi) with T-Mobile US no longer works after upgrading a Motorola G7 (river) to LineageOS 18.1 (the 20210404 nightly build as of this writing). VoLTE still works when attached to the carrier's network, so IMS is still functional to some degree. When just associated with a wireless access point, though, IMS Service Status shows the following:
IMS Registration: Not Registered
Voice over LTE: Unavailable
Voice over WiFi: Unavailable
Video Calling: Unavailable
UT Interface: Unavailable
I have not tried factory resetting the device (yet). Logcat output attached; output just filtered for "ims." If you need a more detailed logcat, let me know.
Steps to Reproduce
- Upgrade a G7/river from LOS 17.1 to 18.1 per the LOS upgrade guide (sideloading)
- Enable WiFi Calling in appropriate Network/Mobile settings menus
- Disable LTE radio (airplane mode), enable 802.11 radio
- Attempt to place a VoWiFi call, or check IMS status via the hidden phone information screens
