OnePlus 5T HD-Audio switch not availabe for HD-Audio headphones (aptx)
I got Teufel Airy (2015) headphones which support the aptx codec. On OxygenOS 10.0.1 my 5T used the aptx codec (a aptx toast appeared), but on the latest LOS 17.1 (lineage-17.1-20210202-nightly-dumpling-signed.zip), aptx is not used.
Expected Behavior
Bluetooth settings for this device shows a HD-Audio switch or aptx toast on device connect or developer options > bluetooth show a HD-Audio codec selected. People on XDA for LOS 17.1 and this device state that aptx worked in November 2020, see https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/rom-10-0-official-lineageos-17-1.4169147/page-13#post-83988907.
Current Behavior
There is no option/switch for aptX/HD-Audio inside the bluetooth device settings menu. No aptX toast is appearing on device connect. Developer options > bluetooth show that sbc is auto selected. If I select aptx (or any other codec) under developer options, it is auto reverted to sbc if I leave developer options and open the menu again.
Possible Solution
Steps to Reproduce
- flash current LOS 17.1 version
- connect aptx enabled speakers (again: I got Teufel Airy 2015 headphones)
- Look for aptx/HD-Audio in any of the described menus
