WPA3 encryption does not work on my phone (WPA3-Personal security missing)

Expected Behavior

The Smartphone should be connected with the router with WPA3 security to the network, so the connection is secured with WPA3 encryption. (WPA3 encryption works with stock android 10 or 11 on other phones with the router)

Current Behavior

On the router I see the details of the Lineage 17.1 phone that it is connected via WPA2. The details in the router shows the connection as:

max bandwidth: 150 / 150 Mbit/s

actual bandwidth: 120 / 60 Mbit/s

Wi-Fi Standard: -n+a / Wi-Fi 4

frequency: 5 GHz

bandwidth: 40 MHz

signal strength: -61dBm

Streams 1 x 1

Wi-Fi properties: Encryption WPA2

Signal settings: STBC, PMF, Dualband ability, 11k, 11v

QoS (Quality of Service): WMM

On the phone I see connection security as WPA2/WPA3-Personal in the settings of the connected Wi-Fi network.

Steps to Reproduce

1. delete the wifi network in the smartphone
2. delete the device profile on the router
3. reconnect to the wifi on the smartphone
4. check the encryption on the router of the connection
