Fingerprint scanner sometimes not working with 17.1 and Pocophone F1 Beryllium
Expected Behaviour
Fingerprint should wake up the phone every time it's touched by the finger. Fingerprint should give access to banking and similar apps that require that type of verification.
Current Behaviour
Sometimes (around 20% of cases) fingerprint doesn't wake up the device. There is also no vibration when it happens. The issue occurs regardless if the phone is connected to the charger or waken up beforehand with power button. Not as often, but sometimes fingerprint scanner doesn't work within banking apps.
Possible Solution
Unfortunately I am not aware of any. Internet forums don't offer much help and users suggest it's impossible to solve in an easy way.
Steps to Reproduce
It's not possible to reproduce an issue every time as it only happens sometimes. But when it happens the steps would be as follows:
- Lock the phone with a power button or let it lock itself.
- Touch fingerprint scanner.
- Nothing happens, not even vibration.
- Unlock phone manually with a pattern, lock the phone, repeat step 1 and 2 and fingerprint works correctly for a while.
If there are any ways to provide more useful information I will be the most happy to do so.
