Lineage17.1 : No media audio with phone speakers/headset.

Expected Behavior

Apps should be able to play audio with phone speaker or headset.

Current Behavior

Lineage 17.1 installed on Sony XA2 Plus.

Audio works with phone speaker and headset ONLY for : Phone ringtone, alarm, notifications. Apps (MP3 players, Turn by turn GPS...) cannot play any sound with phone speaker or headset. However, Apps audio do work fine with Bluetooth speaker.

Already checked: Media volume, Do not disturb mode, and headset connector are working fine or properly set. All sounds were working fine with OmniROM 9.0 installed on that device.

1.Install Lineage 17.1 2020-08-26 on Sony XA2 Plus 2. 3. 4.

/device voyager /version lineage-17.1 /date 2020-08-26 /kernel 2020-08-26 /baseband /mods

I have not read the directions.

Assuming your baseband says 2018xxxx, if so flash https://androidfilehost.com/?fid=4349826312261777345.

No, it's not kernel also you can ignore model number on afh link above, it should work on all xa2 plus models.

Sorry but,... how to install this ? Is it by "adb sideload voyager-modem.zip" from recovery ?

Should I re-install 17.1 after doing this ?

Yes; no you don't need to reinstall lineage after doing that.

Also had the problem of there being no media sounds on my Android LineageOS 18.1.

Even though "media volume" was up full in Settings -> Sound. Bluetooth audio was working fine. Phone call audio working fine.

I applied the above sideload from @luk1337 and it worked great! Thanks dude,
