Microphone issues (noisy, low volume) on speaker mode
Expected Behavior
Microphone audio should be clear when on speaker mode.
Current Behavior
Microphone audio on speaker mode sounds (to the other party) very distant, tinny, and crackling. This happens in phone calls and voice calls on third party messenger apps. This also seems to happen when video recording using both the built in camera app and Open Camera (see next section).
BUT, voice recording using the built-in and third party apps is perfectly clear, even when blocking one or both mic holes (this increases the gain and noise slightly, but the audio is still very usable).
There are no problems when calling on normal (non-speaker) mode.
Possible Solution
This seems to be known issue on mata, with some commenting that the bug was introduced in Android 9:

Update: A user has mentioned the problem can be fixed in Open Camera by changing the audio source to "Default":

.
This seems to be a common Android 10 issue, not limited to just LineageOS. Could it be a bug related to the implementation of this feature?
Steps to Reproduce
- Call someone using the Phone or third party messenger app.
- Enable speaker mode.
- Talk from a normal distance (1-3 feet) from the phone.
- Check if the other person can hear you clearly.
