NFC extended length support on bardockpro 17.1 (regression from 16)
Using AusweisApp2, I could not read a German ID card via NFC. This is known to use extended length NFC, and bardockpro is listed to support this hardware-wise. Other users report that this used to work with LOS 16.
logcat from what appears to be the relevant error:
05-31 16:39:01.012 14283 14320 W AusweisApp2: card : Cannot decode ASN.1 object:
"error:0D07207B:asn1 encoding routines:ASN1_get_object:header too long |
error:0D068066:asn1 encoding routines:asn1_check_tlen:bad object header |
error:0D06C03A:asn1 encoding routines:asn1_d2i_ex_primitive:nested asn1 error |
error:0D08303A:asn1 encoding routines:asn1_template_noexp_d2i:nested asn1 error"
Expected Behavior
extended length NFC communication should be possible
Current Behavior
extended length NFC communication fails with error
Steps to Reproduce
- using AusweisApp2 (see above), try the example application of viewing the ID card's data
- note: the action is not rejected, as the device is not blacklisted for hardware deficiencies
- ID card is detected, but after PIN entry the process fails (misleading error message saying the card had been removed)

I have read the directions.
