Specifying just a configuration URL for kconfig

From the documentation for kconfig:

The first argument must be a defconfig argument that ends in "config", such as "defconfig" or "allmodconfig".

For ClangBuiltLinux, I would like to point the kconfig value in a build set to a distribution's configuration URL, such as https://github.com/openSUSE/kernel-source/raw/master/config/armv7hl/default, so that we do not have to manually download/update configurations but this is not currently supported. tuxmake already has support for pulling from a URL, is there any reason that cannot be done here?
