What is the goal or the problem, and why is it important?
The goal is to create a detailed template for the user interface of our web application. It is obviously important to ensure that the look and functionality of the website are clearly defined so that no time is wasted developing something ineffective. As an aside, we decided to classify this as a Spike Project rather than a User Story because while there will be a product created, it does not have a clearly defined "done" state, as the interface needs to remain flexible to change based on our discoveries throughout development.
How are you going to achieve the goal or solve the problem?
One of the team members will sketch up or mock up digitally a layout for the user interface.
What will be produced as a result of this effort and where will it live on GitLab?
A wireframe representing the user interface including functionality, animation, and other relevant factors for each of the components.
Give a justification of weight or due date.
This work will only take a few days, likely about three, but does require research to understand other strategies used by other projects to make the most functional UI.
Who will do it, and what will they do?
Brandon will create a wireframe based on other storefronts and POS software.
What was the outcome?
Revision 2
After some consultation with a professional UI/UX designer I have changed the UI design to reflect better usability and readability.
