Guest check-in using a bar code and retrieving from a local database and storing the check-in information into a different local database
When a guest visits the NEST the bar code given at the time of registration will be scanned. If the bar code is found, the guest should be asked questions for this visit. If the bar code is not found, the guest will have to re-register.
UI - implement using fragments:
- fragment that does the scanning and displays the barcode (see fragment_scan.xml - can this be used or will a new layout be necessary?)
- fragment to display a confirmation that the guest has been found
- fragment with the new questions the guest needs to be asked at the visit
The app currently has a scanner implemented (see FragmentsUpc/ScanFragment.java and fragment_scanner.xml).
Determine if the app currently has a local database for the registration information. If so, what works and what does not. If not, discuss the fields with the assignees to issue #94 (closed).
Design and implement a local database for the check-in information.
Sample bar codes are available in issue #96 (closed).
Ensure that all necessary data is being gathered. The Google form currently being used by the NEST can be found here: Welcome_NEST_Guest__-_Google_Forms.pdf
