mandrillapp.com (Mailchimp link tracking)
Prerequisites
-
Are you sure that this rule only prevents tracking? -
Are you sure that this rule does not destroy the function of the page?
Description
I got a delivery confirmation on an order and the link went through mandrillapp.com. The link contains the domain name of the site as well as an JSON encoded payload (thanks JWTs for conditioning me to recognize eY as the start of Base64-encoded JSON.
Affected fields
Not sure how to fill in this, it's a redirection based on the payload. Here's the base64-decoded payload for the example URL below:
{
"s": "JOMiaN8wSwXb7MSu809rjsfV9F4",
"v": 1,
"p": "{\"u\": 30972310, \"v\": 1, \"url\": \"https://www.footway.se/user/tracking/123456/123456\", \"id\": \"465c386277c74814b90ff5a78531956a\", \"url_ids\": [\"25a9d2ae751f9501a0df1625f70cf7a83eb58c75\"]}"
}
As can be seen, the p field is JSON embedded in a string and the URL can be found inside this JSON object.
Example URL
Mandrillapp doesn't like my custom crafted payloads so the above link won't work, all I've done is replace the user and order Ids so it should be a correct representation of the tracking data.
I can send the real link in a PM, but since it contains my actual user ID and order ID I don't want to post it publicly.
