Change psycopg2 to require >2.8 once it is released
psycopg
, a C-based Python package which uses libssl
, introduced pre-built binary packages in version 2.7. Unfortunately, libssl
is also used by Python internally for other reasons, and this results in concurrency issues where psycopg2 tends to behave badly.
psycopg version 2.8 will introduce a separate binary package, and the main package will become source-only. We want to use the source-only package, and when 2.8 is released, ensure that Hot Potato package dependencies is updated to reflect this.
