Scroll to clue not working on chromebook

The clue pane does not scroll up or down to the clue corresponding to the currently selected word. The 'dot' does move to the right clue, but if it's not already visible on the clue pane it won't move to make it visible.

I have tested with the 'Scroll to clue' setting both on and off and the behavior is the same.

I'm using a chromebook running Android 11.
