Timeline markers unreadable on long timelines when zoomed out

It seems there's no threshold for reducing the frequency of tick marks as you zoom out. This makes a huge mess in that bar and makes is mostly useless when zoomed way out.

There should probably be some minimum distance algorithm that culls tickmarks and later text marks as the distance between them shrinks.
