No AGPS means long GPS cold boot times
We currently don't have a method for uploading the xtra2.bin file (gpsOnXTRA data) to the modem. ModemManager grabs the AT serial port which prevents us from sending the bootstrap commands.
As far as I can tell from what I can find online, the required AT commands should look something like this:
AT+QGPS=0
AT+QGPSXTRA=1
AT+QFUPL="RAM:xtra2.bin",59748,60
(at this point the file should be uploaded through some interface without public documentation)
AT+QGPSXTRATIME=0,"2015/01/03,15:30:30",1,1,5
AT+QGPSXTRADATA="RAM:xtra2.bin,59748,60"
AT+QFDEL="RAM:xtra2.bin"
AT+QGPS=1
This should make the GPS module restart with gpsOnXTRA data loaded.
If successful, the AT+QGPSXTRA=?
command should return +QGPSXTRA: 1
.
