In jdb command execution, pauses at top of source file

When trying to use JDBStep or similar commands, the buffer switches to the top of the source file and sometimes displays the error message "E490: no fold found" before then moving back to the correct position. Sometimes it does not move to the correct position in the source file automatically, and requires any keystroke to do so. Otherwise the plugin works fine, but the continues switching from top to middle of the source file makes its use rather jarring. Are there any solutions to this?
