Global hotkeys not working with Wayland

Description:

When playing Deezer (did not try other streaming service) on Ubuntu 20.04 on wayland, shortcuts do not work when app is minimized. No such problem when on x11 (shortcuts do work even when minimized with x11).

Steps To Reproduce:

  1. Startup ubuntu 20.04 on wayland.
  2. Open the MellowPlayer v 3.6.3.0.
  3. Play music with Deezer.
  4. Minimize the app.
  5. Use predefined shortcuts - they do not work.

  • Version: 3.6.3.0
  • Affected streaming services (if any): Deezer
  • Operating System: Ubuntu 20.04 LTS, 5.4.0-37-generic, gnome 3.36.2-1ubuntu1~20.04.1
  • MellowPlayer installed using native package
