Certain functionality for Google Sheets (while a spreadsheet is open) breaks, such as: 1) Clicking to File > Settings does not bring up the Settings Window. 2) Formula Help disappears and is unable to be toggled on/off with F1
Test Case
Unsure of how to provide a test case or what a "test case" would entail.
Prerequisites
- [Yes] Can you reproduce the problem in a fresh Firefox profile with only ClearURLs?
- [Yes] Are you running the latest version of ClearURLs?
- [I'm pretty sure I changed like 2 things a while ago but I can't remember what it is. Aware that if this is irreproducible this may be the cause.] Have you changed settings under
about:config
?
Description
Certain functionality for Google Sheets (while a spreadsheet is open) breaks, such as:
- Clicking to File > Settings does not bring up the Settings Window.
- Formula Help disappears and is unable to be toggled on/off with F1 or F10, or by clicking the blue question mark (that appears next to the selected cell) when the Formula Help window is hidden.
There may be other functionalities that are broken as well, but I haven't bothered going through the entirety of Google Sheets and am simply writing down what I've noticed as These two have effected me the most.
Steps to Reproduce
- Create a new profile for Firefox
- Open Google Sheets, login and create or open an existing spreadsheet
- Attempt to access settings through File > Settings
- Attempt to write any formula into any cell, press F1/F10 to hide or unhide the Formula Help windows.
- Add ClearURLs to Firefox.
- Refresh Google Sheets, (Ctrl-R)
- Repeat 5 and 6.
Expected behavior:
- Typing in a formula on Google Sheets should be accompanied by the Formula Help window, and show "formula suggestions" or "named function suggestions" when these options are enabled. Furthermore, pressing the F10 or F1 key (while typing in a formula) should hide (or unhide) the Formula Help windows.
- If the Formula Help window is hidden, a blue box with a question mark should appear on the left of the selected cell. Hovering the question mark should show the text "Turn on formula suggestions (F10)", and clicking this box should enable formula suggestions with its accompanying window.
- Clicking on Settings from File > Settings while a spreadsheet is open should open the Settings window, darkening the background with a movable popup window titled "Settings for this spreadsheet".
Actual behavior:
- Typing in a formula is not accompanied by the Formula Help Window, and it cannot be unhidden by pressing the F1 or F10 key. The blue box with a question mark will appear when the Formula Help window is hidden, however clicking the box will not show the Formula Help window and it will appear as though it is hidden.
- Clicking on Settings from File > Settings while a spreadsheet is open does not open the Settings window, and does not darken the background. The dropdown menu present when clicking File, goes away as normal, though.
